David Birchim will be our special guest for an OCSNA Q & A forum via Zoom on February 11 at 6pm concerning the Sebastian Inland Harbor PUD.
The Sebastian Inland Harbor PUD will be a major development at the corner of Riberia and Sebastian Harbor Drive. As Riberia is a major entry and exit corridor for the Old City South and Lincolnville neighborhoods, commercial development along Riberia directly affects our neighborhood.
The owners of the property zoned under this PUD are asking the City Commission to approve changes to the terms of their PUD on Monday, February 22. The purpose of our zoom Q & A is to inform our neighborhood about the effects of these changes, so that neighbors can speak to decision makers knowledgeably about how these changes will impact their lives.
David Birchim is Director of Planning and Building for the City of St. Augustine. While he is not a policy maker, there is no one who better understands the history of this PUD, the underlying zoning, the ins and outs of this PUD and the likely affects that these changes will have on virtually every aspect of life in the surrounding neighborhoods. When you read the “staff conclusions and recommendations” it’s his staff that you’re hearing from.
Participation in the zoom Q & A will be subject to pre-registration and will be limited to neighbors and members on the OCSNA email list. Join us to learn more about this important issue.
