OCS Spring Picnic Postponed Because of Rain
OCS Neighbors:
Due to imminent thunderstorm activity predicted for tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon, we’re postponing the OCS Spring Potluck Picnic. But have no fear! Next weekend the weather looks good for both days. We’ll picnic next week!!
So here are the new details:
New date: Saturday, April 21
New time: 4pm to 7pm (same as the old time)
New location: Burry and Wendy Gowen’s house – 5 Tremerton Street (Going south on Marine Street, take a left on Tremerton Place and then right on Tremerton Street. Burry and Wendy’s house is the yellow Mediterranean Revival style house with green trim on the left.)
OCSNA will provide grills, ice, red wine, soda pop, paper plates, cups, utensils and the first round of burgers and hot dogs. Other beverages are BYOB. This will be a pot luck picnic, so please bring an hors d’oeuvre, dish or dessert that you’d like to share.
There will be a 50/50 raffle drawing at 6:00pm. The board has donated a few extra fun prizes for the raffle as well, so there will be several winners in addition to the winner of the 50/50. Raffle tickets are $2 per ticket, $5 for 3 tickets and $10 for 7 tickets.
Parking is extremely limited around Tremerton Street so if it is physically possible for you, please walk to the picnic.
AND: if you have kids, (or grandkids), make sure they bring their bathing suits (and their own towels) as the Gowens have a pool and the heat has been turned on for the season!
So, next week, come to the OCS picnic, and party with your neighbors! See you then.
