And if this week’s hail storm is any indication, it’s going to be an interesting storm season. Storms and flooding are a fact of life here in our ancient city. And when city streets are submerged by a typical summer cloud burst, never mind after two major hurricane hits in two years, we felt that the start of the storm season would be a good time to find out about the city’s plans for dealing with it.
Join OCSNA at the Corazon Cinema and Cafe this Thursday evening, June 7, at 6pm for a presentation by CoSA Public Works Director Mike Cullum and Public Works Dept. Engineer Jessica Beach on “Flood Mitigation in Old City South”. Mike and Jessica will be making a presentation about the city’s plans and upcoming projects to deal with both nuisance and city wide flooding, and then will open the floor to our questions.
This is an opportunity to ask questions of and voice your concerns to people in the city who can actually do something about them. We hope to see you there. Forum details follow:
